...also bit the dust.
Back to cheap feeder fish for us.
Back to cheap feeder fish for us.
I haven't had much time lately to post anything, or download pics - now that I'm working you will have to get used to that, whoever you are...
But here are some updates:
1) Liam turned 2!! If you didn't know this, where have you been!? We had his 2nd Birthday Party at the Children's Museum and it was very fun. Thank you to everyone who came, and for your thoughtful gift (I have yet to get thank yous out, sort of goes along with the whole working thing again...)
2) At his 2 yo wellness exam Liam measured 36 inches high and 30 lbs. And threw a 2 yo tantrum to prove that he is a normal 2 yo.
3) Liam loves phone conversations, especially with his Aunti JoJo. He sometimes goes speechless though, and so we are working on the art of conversation. Paging Bob Newhart...
4) Liam's favorite toy right now is his basketball hoop. He throws the ball and says 'almost' when he misses the basket, and claps and looks quite proud when he does make a basket... which is more often then you would think, if you saw how he throws the ball...
5) The beloved 'bah' is still quite beloved. I was hoping he would naturally outgrow this beverage container.
6) We have a couple of new fishy family members, and a few who have already passed. Huck and Finn came to join us on Liam's Birthday, for his Birthday. Huck tragically passed away - was found floating on top one day - and so Nana and Papa gave us Jaws. Jaws was a substantial gold fish and we thought we'd have him for at least a month, but that was not meant to be. Jaws passed away and was replaced with a breed known for longevity, and fiestiness, a beta we named Patrick. Patrick and Finn seem to be getting along very well... for now. Liam loves to feed the fish.
7) I recently had my 10 yo reunion at Linfield, and saw some dear old friends. Liam joined me for part of the day, and whenever I told him that we were at Mommy's old school he would say, and look for, the 'bus'.
8) New words, oh my, too many to list. He can string them along to tell a story now though. He and Nana fed the ducks and one grabbed bread from his hand. Liam doesn't like to talk about it, and will deny that he was bit when we ask him now... but he did tell me once, "Mama, duck, bite hand, booboo". His other favorite words are 'no' and 'mine' and 'come' and 'go away' (to the dogs).
9) We're jumping, yay, with both feet off the ground at the same time. This took a lot of practice, but we have mastered it.
10) We went to the pumpkin patch, pictures will eventually be posted, and were about to have a ton of fun before we had to go home and watch the Seahawks. Anyways, we've had fun carving our first pumpkin together and look forward to carving the rest over the next week or so.
11) If possible, I love him more than ever.
12) Yesterday, Papa (my dad) golfed with Edgar Martinez. As in, the guy who used to play for the Mariners... yup!
And now it's time for bed...

Mommy: Liam, did you see some fishes today with Nana?
Liam: Yesss.
Mommy: How many fishes where there?
Liam: One, two, TEN.
Mommy: What color were the fishes?
Liam: Red.
Mommy: Did you like the fishes?
Liam: Dah. (yeah)

If the last post you see is from Mother's Day, it is because I have been locking our blog and only some posts are public. Sorry, it's annoying for you I realize. You will have to create your own Vox account and add me as a friend. If you have already done this, please make sure you have logged in. If you still can't see anything more recent, please email me and I'll try to help.
Thank you and hope all is well!
